Emirates has initiated a major recruitment drive, opening hundreds of roles in different departments. After the pandemic, Emirates has started appointing multiple international employees since 2021 as during the pandemic global companies including Flydubai and other local airlines have faced major losses.
Emirates will start open days and invite-only events for recruiting employees in different sectors including IT, cabin crew, engineers, customer service, and others. The employment process will take place in many cities throughout the year and selected candidates will be notified within 48 hours of assessment.
The new staff will be appointed for the Emirates Group’s two major entities, dnata (airport services provider) and Emirates Airlines. As the company enjoyed a record profit of 10.9 billion Dirhams in 2022/23, the employees enjoy any perks of their job including a 24-week salary bonus, accommodation allowance, transport allowance, and a 5% hike in basic salary.
Emirates Pilots
The appointment of pilots will be held through a series of open days in Manchester, Dublin, London, and London Gatwick. The online information system will be held for the candidates on 19th July at 1 pm (Dubai time).
The basic salary offered is Dh43,650 with Dh42,750 allowance for the children’s primary education and Dh65,250 for children’s secondary education. Annual leave of 42 days is allowed as well as annual leave tickets for pilots and their dependents are also provided.

- Direct Entry Captains A380
- English fluency.
- 3,000+ hours of command on Airbus FBW Wide Body from A330/A340/A350/380.
- Must have flown at least 150 hours in command during the last 12 months.
Emirates Engineering
Moreover, Emirates Engineering will be arranging an open-day recruitment in Brazil, Australia, the UK, and South Africa during July and August. They intend to recruit 75 structural technicians and more than 400 employees for aircraft maintenance, and engineering roles.
Customer Services
Emirates Group is also looking for individuals in customer service to join the teams at dnata, Airport Services, Marhaba, and other centers. The individuals will be given prior training as well. In addition, these are full-time as well as part-time positions. An attractive tax-free salary is offered for the role.
The eligibility criteria are the following.
- English language fluency.
- High school degree/diploma/A levels.
- Knowledge to operate Microsoft Office, emails, etc.,
- Willing to work in shifts.
- Willing to wear an allotted uniform.
Cabin Crew
Cabin crew interested candidates must possess the following criteria to be eligible for the role. The basic monthly salary offered is Dh4,430 and flying pay/hour is Dh63.75. The average flying hours per month are 80 – 100. Transportation and accommodation are also provided.
- Excellent communication and English language skills.
- A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
- The height must be at least 160 cm and must be able to reach 212 cm high.
- Visible tattoos in uniform are not allowed.
- The candidates must meet the UAE’s employment visa requirements.
- Minimum educational requirement is a high school education.
First Officer
The first officer will enjoy a Dh30,826 salary and heavy allowances of Dh42,750 and Dh65,250 for the children’s primary and secondary education respectively. A 42-day calendar leave yearly is also allowed.
The first officers must have flown at least 150 hours during the previous 12 months. Other information provided is the following.
- 2,000 hours minimum on Airbus FBW/Modern Boeing.
- Annual leave ticket for pilots and dependents.
- An authoritative ICAO ATPL with an unrestricted class 1 medical certificate.
