In a bustling classroom at the Islamabad Model School for Girls (IMSG) Rajwal, a
remarkable change is underway. A young teacher, full of enthusiasm, guides her
students through a lively English lesson. They clap out syllables, mimic animal sounds
to learn phonics, and work in groups to create their own stories. Laughter and focused
energy fill the room; this is learning in action.
“I never thought I’d be using a tablet to teach, and the kids absolutely love it!” she
shares after class. “With NIETE, I have so many new ideas, my students are more
engaged, and I feel like my teaching has come alive.”
The Heart of NIETE: Serving Teachers, Empowering Students
The National Institute of Excellence in Teacher Education (NIETE) is transforming
education in Pakistan. Working alongside the government, NIETE introduces innovative
digital tools, activity-based learning, and a supportive coaching network designed to
complement and enhance traditional teaching methods.
