How It Works
With this new feature, users can create up to four additional personal profiles, each with its own name and @username. It’s important to note that, initially, certain Facebook features such as Dating, Marketplace, Professional Mode, and payments will not be available for these additional profiles. Messaging, however, will be accessible within the Facebook app and on the web for these profiles, with plans to expand Messenger support in the future. The option to create additional personal profiles is exclusively available to eligible adult accounts.
Control and Privacy
Each new personal profile comes with default settings, and notifications and privacy settings do not carry over from one profile to another. Some settings, like who can see a profile’s posts or send friend requests, are managed separately for each profile. It is advisable to review and adjust privacy settings for each new profile created, and these settings can be modified at any time. Importantly, your main Facebook profile will not indicate the existence of additional personal profiles.
