The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has notified further amendments to the rules and regulations related to the customs of temporary import of vehicles.
According to the FBR statement, the definition of ‘tourist’ has been updated under the new rules.
Pakistan Customs will monitor information related to temporary import of vehicles through computerized system.
According to the notification, the process of surveillance through computerized system of FIA and Customs has been tightened, for which the information of temporary import of vehicles will be strictly monitored.
According to the FBR, the aim is to prevent the misuse of the import of vehicles by foreigners and migrants.
Passports of tourists temporarily importing vehicles will be attached with car documents.
