International flights have officially begun at the new Gwadar International Airport, with PIA operating the first flight to Muscat. The aircraft, which arrived earlier from Karachi as flight PK 503, will return to Karachi later as flight PK 504.
Currently, the airport is using ATR planes because passenger numbers are still low. However, since the airport is built to handle larger aircraft like Airbus and Boeing, it is expected that these will be used soon as passenger demand grows.
