Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reveals plans to create four million job opportunities within the next 4 – 5 years. An investment of approximately $40 billion is expected to be made by attracting Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries towards Pakistan’s widespread agriculture sector.
PM Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing the National Seminar on Agriculture and Food Security in Islamabad, stressed the importance of bolstering agriculture as a catalyst for the second Green Revolution as it can make agriculture as a main source of economic growth in Pakistan, fortifying national security and food security.
He further emphasized that GCC countries are importing food items and agricultural products worth $40 billion per year, showcasing a significant opportunity for investment.
PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed the need for perseverance and hard work to actualize these high-sounding visions. He is all optimistic that the future holds promise of transitioning from relying on loans to build a strong economy and called for the collective efforts from the whole nation to achieve this goal.
