Federal Minister, Shazia Atta Murri made an important announcement that government will grant Rs 2000 on the birth of a son and Rs. 2500 on the birth of a daughter to underprivileged families. The initiative is a part of the Benazir Income Support Program.
Shazia Atta shared that the budget will be increased for all the current projects. She further stated that the Benazir Income Support Program will ensure financial assistance to almost 9 million deprived families throughout the country.
The statements reflect the goals of Benazir Income Support to help families in need of financial assistance and improve their well-being. This initiative is appreciated and is taken to not only help the families but also promote gender equality and suppress the conventional thoughts developed on the birth of a girl.
