How Many People of Pakistan Believe in Witchcraft? Amazing Report

According to an intriguing study on beliefs conducted by the research institute Pied, nearly half of Pakistan’s population believes in witchcraft.

There are still many people that believe in witchcraft in today’s society.

The prevalence of witchcraft belief is 45% in metropolitan areas. With a 56.5% rate, the residents of Punjab province hold the most believe in witchcraft. The province of Sindh comes in second, with a witchcraft belief rate of 55.7%. In PK, where the rate is 18.5%, less than 10% is completed.

The survey claims that 37.5 percent of people in the federal capital also believe in witchcraft, compared to 38.3 percent of Azad Kashmir residents and 29.7 percent of Gilgit residents.

It’s interesting to note that as people aged, their believe in witchcraft rose. Males between the ages of 25 and 34 and those between the ages of 35 and 44 have the highest rates of believe in witchcraft, with 36% and 27,5% respectively. 38% of males hold this belief.

Males aged 45 to 59 believe in witchcraft at a rate of 37.5%; males aged 60 and older believe in witchcraft at a rate of 41.3%; young girls aged 15 to 24 believe in witchcraft at a rate of 29.8%; and men aged 25 to 34 believe in witchcraft at a rate of 25.8%. Witchcraft is practiced by 39.1 percent of women, including 38 and 40.7 percent of women between the ages of 35 and 44 and 45 and 59, respectively.

The survey states that 44.6% of women 60 and older still believe in witchcraft, and that this percentage declines as one’s level of education rises. There has been an increase in the percentage of illiterate individuals who believe in witchcraft, who now make up 38.4% of the population.

The rate of witchcraft belief is 36.1 percent among matriculation pass individuals, 29.5 percent among intermediate pass individuals, and 33.7 percent among graduates and above, which is an interesting finding in the paper. Additionally, it was found that as income climbed, so did belief in witchcraft.

Witchcraft is believed in by 33.6% of those with low incomes. According to a study by renowned researcher Dr. Darnayab, who polled over 20 000 participants for the study, the percentage of witchcraft belief has climbed to 38.7% among those with high incomes.
