In a recent call with Iranian General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir expressed profound grief over the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian. This information was shared by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

General Munir conveyed heartfelt condolences and prayers on behalf of the Pakistan Army to the Iranian nation. He spoke highly of the late President Raisi and Foreign Minister Abdollahian, describing them as true friends of Pakistan who played pivotal roles in fostering strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
