The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a specific notification focusing on Karachi’s weather conditions for April 13 (Saturday) and April 14 (Sunday). According to their forecast, Karachi is likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall during these two days.

This weather system is not isolated to Karachi alone; it is anticipated to extend its influence over other regions in Sindh, notably Sukkur and Larkana, where similar rainfall patterns are expected.

The underlying cause of this anticipated rainfall is a prevailing system of westerly winds. These winds, originating from the western parts of the country, have been impacting the northern regions of Pakistan.

As per the latest updates from the Met Office, this system of westerly winds is set to move towards the southern and eastern regions of the country today. As it progresses, it is expected to usher in a new spell of rainfall across these areas.

The current weather conditions in Karachi, it is described as hot and humid by the Meteorological Department.

Over the next 24 hours, residents can expect temperatures to potentially reach a high of 36°C. The humidity level is notably high, standing at 75%. Additionally, the prevailing winds are coming from the west and have a speed of 11 kilometres per hour.

Before these anticipated rainfalls, the combination of high temperature and humidity can make the weather uncomfortable and potentially challenging for outdoor activities. It’s crucial for residents to take necessary precautions to stay hydrated and cool.

In the broader context of weather predictions for the month of April, weather analyst Jawad Memon has provided insights that align with the PMD’s forecasts.

Memon’s earlier analysis had pointed towards the likelihood of widespread rainfall across the country around April 13 or 14. He also went a step further to speculate that the entire month of April might see more rain than what is typically expected during this time of the year. This speculation is primarily based on the continued influence and movement of these westerly winds across Pakistan.

The upcoming weekend presents a significant weather event for Karachi and other parts of Sindh, with moderate to heavy rainfall expected.

This weather system is part of a larger pattern driven by westerly winds, as detailed by both the Pakistan Meteorological Department and weather analyst Jawad Memon. Residents should remain informed about the evolving weather conditions and take necessary precautions to stay safe and prepared.
