Pakistan’s fast bowler, Khurram Shahzad, will be missing out on the Test series against Australia due to injuries. Specifically, he has a rib stress fracture and an abdominal muscle tear.
During the Perth Test, Shahzad bowled 38 overs, conceding 128 runs and managing to take five wickets. However, his debut in the first Test was marked by discomfort on his side, leading to subsequent scans that revealed a fracture in his left tenth rib.
To address his injuries, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be seeking guidance from a specialist in Australia. The aim is to establish an effective management protocol for Shahzad’s condition.
Once the appropriate plan is determined, Shahzad will return to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore. At the NCA, he will undergo injury management and rehabilitation processes to facilitate his recovery.
