Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Dr. Zahid Latif has officially assumed the role of Rector at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).
Dr. Latif is a highly respected figure, both in the academic world and in the military. He served as a Lieutenant General in the Pakistan Army and has extensive experience in leadership, education, and research. His academic journey includes earning degrees from prestigious institutions such as the National Defense University, Command and Staff College, and Peking University. His areas of expertise include military diplomacy, peace studies, and South Asian politics.
Throughout his career, Dr. Zahid Latif has held senior teaching positions both in Pakistan and internationally. He has also contributed significantly to research, having authored numerous scholarly papers. His reputation as a leader and educator has made him a prominent figure in academia.
