Authored by Lois Quam, CEO of Pathfinder International since 2017, this groundbreaking book presents profound personal reflections and a visionary outlook on empowering women worldwide as catalysts for progress in the 21st century.
‘Who Runs the World?‘ amplifies the voices and narratives of women from Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East, showcasing their indispensable role in driving transformative change. Through their talent and ingenuity, these women are reshaping fragile health systems, combating inequity, and spearheading resilient responses to the escalating challenges of climate change.
The launch event was marked by vibrant discussions, invaluable networking opportunities, and enlightening conversations among esteemed attendees. Guests had the privilege of engaging directly with the author, gaining deep insights into groundbreaking research and innovative strategies championed by women globally.

Dr. Tabinda Sarosh, President of South Asia, Middle East, and Africa, along with Madiha Latif, Country Director for Pakistan, shared their insightful perspectives during the event. “Pathfinder is embarking on a transformative journey, bringing leadership closer to the communities we serve, thereby ensuring our interventions are locally driven and impactful,” remarked Madiha Latif.
The event also featured captivating performances by singer and songwriter Alycia Dias, who delivered a stirring rendition of the empowering track ‘Main Irada’, celebrating the resilience and strength of women.
