On October 10, 2013, Pedersen departed from Denmark, leaving behind his job, girlfriend, and family. He intended to go to each and every country.
For his long journey, Pedersen also set some conditions for himself, as he must spend at least 24 hours in any country, spend a maximum of 20 dollars a day and during his mission. They will not travel by air, but by sea and land, they will go to 203 countries of the world.
According to Pedersen, when he started his journey from Denmark, he believed that he would travel around the world within 4 years, but during this journey, he faced difficulties due to delays in obtaining visas for many countries. But the longest break in his journey came due to Covid-19.
According to reports, Pedersen arrived in Hong Kong after traveling to 194 countries in early 2020, but due to restrictions due to the Corona epidemic, he was stuck in this country for 2 years and could not start his journey.
While living in Hong Kong for 2 years, Pedersen also had a virtual wedding with his girlfriend, while also working in a company there.
However, Pedersen’s journey resumed on January 5, 2022, but even then he had to extend his journey due to the Corona restrictions imposed by many countries.
Finally, on May 24, 2023, Pedersen reached the 203rd country of his long journey and fulfilled his dream. He stayed there for a few days and celebrated the completion of his journey around the world.
According to reports, when Pedersen, who traveled to 203 countries without flying in 10 years, arrived in his native Denmark by ship on July 26, more than 150 people were at the port to welcome him. Pederson also released some statistics from his long journey.
From start to finish Pedersen changed 37 ships, 158 trains, 351 buses, 219 taxis, 33 boats, and 43 rickshaws in a total of 3,576 days.
According to Pederson, he made many best friends during his trip around the world, while the people of different countries showed him great hospitality, a trip he will always remember.
