Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (WML), is set to arrive in Pakistan today for a nine-day official visit just before Eidul Fitr.
During his time in Pakistan, Dr. Al-Issa plans to lead the Eidul Fitr prayers at Faisal Mosque in Islamabad and spend time celebrating with orphaned children in the country. He also intends to lay the foundation stone for the Seerat Museum while he is here.
Alongside these activities, the WML chief will participate in a series of important meetings with Pakistani officials, including the president, prime minister, chief justice of the Supreme Court, and Minister for religious affairs. These meetings are aimed at discussing shared interests and strengthening diplomatic relations between the two parties.
Eidul Fitr is a significant occasion in the Islamic calendar, marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, during which Muslims worldwide observe a month of fasting from dawn until sunset. The celebration of Eid symbolizes the conclusion of this period of self-discipline and is a time for joyous festivities.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted that the Shawwal moon, which signals the start of Eidul Fitr celebrations, is likely to be sighted in Pakistan on April 9.
The appearance of the moon is expected on the night of April 8 at 11:21 pm local time, with an estimated age of 19 to 20 hours on April 9. This means it should be visible to the naked eye for approximately 50 minutes after sunset, marking the beginning of Eidul Fitr celebrations throughout the country.
