Chapati would cost Rs 20 and naan for Rs 25 in Islamabad since the Nanbai Association refused to lower the pricing.
Although Sajjad Ali Abbasi, president of the Nanbai Association, stated that the price of roti will not change, it should be noted that the cost of flour has recently dropped dramatically.
However, the Deputy Commissioner had set the price of 100 grammes of roti at Rs 15 and 120 grammes of naan at Rs 20 four days prior, defying the district administration in Rawalpindi’s instruction to cut the price of roti.
The Nanbai Association forbade the sale of roti at prices lower than Rs. 25.
