The National Transmission & Despatch Company Limited (NTDC), a State-Owned Enterprise responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of power transmission systems across Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, is seeking to fill the position of Managing Director (MD).
In line with the government’s objectives to reform the power sector, NTDC aims to transform into a dynamic corporate entity to address emerging challenges. This transformation includes improving system reliability, extending the network, and instituting reforms in various functional areas.
Key Responsibilities
The Managing Director will lead the transformation efforts, reporting to the Board of Directors. Responsibilities include strategic planning, organizational restructuring, procurement management, compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordination with stakeholders.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred fields: electrical/civil) or equivalent in Finance/Business Administration/CA/ACMA with sixteen years of education. Additionally, candidates should have eighteen years of post-qualification professional experience, including five years in a senior management position or Grade 20 or above in the public sector.
Remuneration and Age
The appointment will be based on a performance-based contract for an initial period of three years, extendable by mutual consent. Candidates should not be over fifty-eight years old on the closing date of application submission.
