Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his strong condemnation of the recent protests and riots in Pakistan. He referred to the actions of the protestors as acts of terrorism and stated that those involved should be severely punished.
He emphasized that such destructive behavior can only be the work of enemies of the country. The Prime Minister also praised the armed forces and law enforcement agencies for their efforts in combating terrorism and recognized the sacrifices made by the nation in this regard.
He assured that the government is committed to supporting and promoting sports in the country, and highlighted the importance of youth involvement in various sports to bring pride to Pakistan. He concluded by commending the organizers of the national games for their excellent arrangements.
