In Lahore, The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has discovered 1,556 vehicles with fake or non-standard number plates in the first three weeks of this month. Legal actions have been taken against those responsible for using fake number plates, and the vehicles have been seized by the police.
The PSCA, in collaboration with Field Forces, are actively involved in operations to identify and penalize vehicles with fraudulent number plates. The public is urged to aid these efforts by reporting any vehicles suspected of using fake or non-standard plates through the emergency helpline 15.
In a incident, a 60-year-old man, injured in a traffic accident in the Gowalmandi police jurisdiction four days ago, passed away in the hospital. The victim’s identity remains unknown, and the body has been transferred to the morgue.
