In a recent briefing with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, it was announced that more than 70 local businesses are interested in partnering with Chinese companies that plan to move their industrial units to Pakistan.
This discussion followed Sharif’s visit to China last month, where he met with investors and looked for ways to enhance cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
During the meeting, a detailed plan was presented for relocating various Chinese industries to Pakistan, including sectors like textiles and medical equipment. The goal is to boost Pakistan’s industrial capabilities and strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
Additionally, a new initiative was introduced to send 1,000 Pakistani students to China for advanced training in agriculture. The first group of students is scheduled to start their training at the beginning of the new academic year.
Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the strong and enduring partnership between Pakistan and China. He pointed out that these initiatives will significantly benefit Pakistan’s economy by creating new jobs and increasing exports. This collaboration reflects China’s commitment to investing more in Pakistan and supporting its economic growth.
