In the first quarter (July-September) of the fiscal year 2024-25, Pakistan’s mobile phone imports totaled $246.472 million, reflecting an 18.93% decrease compared to $304.029 million during the same period in the previous fiscal year (2023-24).
In local currency terms, this amounted to Rs68.612 billion, marking a 22.86% drop from Rs88.945 billion last year.
Interestingly, September saw a notable month-on-month increase in mobile imports, rising by 29.32% to $102.629 million. However, this still represents a 17.62% decline compared to the $124.576 million imported in September 2023.
