According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), there’s been a big increase in the number of smartphones being brought into Pakistan.
The latest data shows that in the first nine months of this financial year, people in Pakistan have spent a lot of money importing smartphones – a whopping Rs370 billion! This is a huge jump of 180% compared to the same time last year.
It seems like more and more people in Pakistan are choosing to buy smartphones, showing a clear change in what people want when it comes to technology.
The report also gives more details about how much money was spent on importing smartphones from July to March – a total of $1.30 billion.
Compared to last year’s figures of Rs106 billion or $460 million for the same period, it’s clear that people are spending a lot more on smartphones now. This big increase in spending shows that the way people in Pakistan use and buy technology is changing fast.
