The Sindh Padel Association, under the guidance of the Pakistan Padel Federation (PPF), announced the launch of the Pakistan Padel Tour – Sindh Edition, a groundbreaking event for the sport in Pakistan. Scheduled to commence on December 18, 2024, at SMASHX, KDA, Karachi, this initiative marks the debut of a National Ranking System, a significant step in organizing and promoting padel in the country.
For the first time in Pakistan’s sports history, players will be ranked through a structured system powered by the Wecourts-WPPR platform. This innovative approach will enhance the sport’s visibility and provide a clear pathway for player development through provisional, national, and collaborative tournaments. The event will be supervised by an International Padel Federation Level 1 referee, ensuring authenticity and adherence to global standards.
President Fazle Mateen Qureshi of the PPF lauded the Sindh Padel Association’s efforts in bringing this vision to life, recognizing Karachi’s pivotal role in introducing padel to Pakistan. “This tour not only elevates the sport but also establishes its importance as a cultural and recreational activity in our society,” he stated.
The tour will expand to Lahore, Islamabad, and other cities, reflecting the sport’s growing popularity and integration into daily life. Established in November 2023 and headquartered in Lahore, the PPF is already recognized by the Pakistan Olympic Association and is working toward international affiliations.
Padel enthusiasts, journalists, and influencers are invited to join the launch event, which promises to be a landmark moment for sports in Pakistan.
