Pakistan Railways has recently announced a substantial 25% reduction in train fares for passengers traveling during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha celebrations.
This discounted fare applies to all regular passenger trains operated by Pakistan Railways, excluding special Eid trains. The initiative aims to make train travel more affordable and accessible for families celebrating Eid-ul-Azha across the country.
The reduced fares are applicable only for new bookings and will be valid throughout all three days of Eid-ul-Azha. A spokesperson for Pakistan Railways expressed satisfaction with the fare reduction, emphasizing its role in fulfilling the organization’s commitment to serving the people of Pakistan. They anticipate that this reduction will enhance the Eid celebrations for passengers by providing them with more convenient and economical travel options.
Earlier, on May 21, Pakistan Railways had already implemented a fare reduction across various train classes in response to decreased diesel prices. This reduction immediately benefited passengers traveling shorter distances, with the most significant savings observed in economy and AC classes.
