In a significant move, Pakistan Railways (PR) has decided to run 22 passenger trains under a public-private partnership to improve passenger facilities and increase revenue. Trains like Karakoram Express, Karachi Express, and Green Line are part of this plan.
The PPP model aims to enhance travel experiences with upgraded dining cars and premium dining options on Tezgam and Zakariya Express. The new executive washrooms at Lahore Railway Station have been well-received, and similar facilities will be introduced at all major stations within three months.
