Pakistan State Oil (PSO), the largest energy company in Pakistan, has launched its Mentorship Program 2024, inviting young talent to kickstart their careers in the field of Information Technology (IT). Educational Requirements and Preferences
Candidates applying for the Mentorship Program should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Information Technology. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Software Development and Database Management.
Responsibilities and Learning Objectives
Participants in the Mentorship Program will delve into the intricacies of PSO’s software systems and database architecture, gaining a deep understanding of their functionalities and underlying structures. They will work alongside leads to contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of software applications, gaining hands-on experience in the entire software development lifecycle.
Additionally, participants will engage with cross-functional teams to analyze user requirements, brainstorm solutions, and design scalable software solutions that meet the needs of customers and stakeholders. They will also take part in project planning sessions, contribute ideas, and actively participate in project execution, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Process
To be eligible for the Mentorship Program, candidates must have a minimum CGPA of 3.00, be aged below 30 years at the time of application, and have 0-1 year of work experience. They should possess a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Sciences from an HEC recognized institute or equivalent foreign degree.

Program Details
The Mentorship Program is a training period of two years, based at PSO House Karachi. During this period, participants will receive a fixed monthly stipend and will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the field. However, it is important to note that this period does not constitute an employer-employee relationship, and there is no obligation on the company to offer regular employment upon completion of the program.
