In the scorching heat of Mina, where ambulances were unavailable, Asif Bashir stepped forward to save lives. Displaying incredible strength and determination, he carried and rescued a total of 44 individuals who were in critical condition due to the extreme weather. Among those he saved were 24 Indian nationals, whose lives might have been lost without his timely intervention.
Moved by his heroic efforts, the Indian government has decided to honor him with this prestigious award and has invited him to a ceremony scheduled for January 26, 2025.
