Pakistani Fans Face ‘Tough’ Visa Rules for CT 2025 India Match in Dubai

Pakistani cricket fans hoping to watch the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 matches in Dubai might face challenges due to stringent visa requirements. Sources reveal that individuals with a strong travel history to Dubai stand a higher chance of securing visas.

Those applying for visas will be evaluated based on their travel history and ticket purchases, making it harder for first-time travelers to attend the event.

Unlike previous years, fans will not have the option of securing free passes for the matches. Only those who buy tickets will be granted entry, with all tickets exclusively available online. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that physical ticket booths will not be set up.

Ticket prices will start at approximately Rs1,000 for the least expensive seats, while premium seats, especially for high-profile matches such as Pakistan vs. India, will range between Rs25,000 and Rs30,000.

The pricing structure for these tickets will be finalized soon, with sales expected to open in stages. Initially, group stage tickets will go on sale, followed by semi-final and final tickets closer to the event.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is preparing to host a significant press conference featuring the captains of all participating teams before the tournament begins on February 19.

The event is expected to take place on February 16 or 17, with the captains sharing insights on their preparations for the tournament.

India’s skipper Rohit Sharma, along with other team captains, is expected to attend the gathering, marking a rare moment of unity ahead of the tournament. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already requested the ICC to adhere to its protocol of holding the captains’ meet in the host country.

As the host board, the PCB is responsible for ensuring visas for players, officials, and sponsors, including members of the Indian contingent.

In past events, Indian players successfully secured visas to travel for matches in Pakistan, and the PCB aims to maintain this protocol for the upcoming event.

The final schedule for warm-up matches and the captains’ press conference will be announced soon, adding further clarity to the much-anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Pakistani cricket fans, however, remain concerned about the strict travel and visa policies, which may limit their chances of witnessing history unfold in Dubai.
