The Pakistan Society for Training and Development (PSTD) has announced the HR Conference and Exhibition (CONNEX) to take place in:
- Islamabad – 14th September
- Lahore – 11th October
- Karachi – 01st November
Since its inception in 2017, CONNEX has emerged as the ultimate platform for HR experts and enthusiasts to delve into current HR trends, address critical issues, and explore effective solutions.
The conference will host 1000+ participants across the three cities. This year’s theme is “Tech-Tuned Hearts” and the conference is designed to nurture a positive and proactive relationship between HR, People and Technology.
Here’s a sneak peak of the agenda:
- Role of People, Culture and Technology in Driving Business Transformation – Waqar Malik (Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Fauji Foundation) will share how the company did a complete 180 in terms of profitability, while showcasing HR’s integral role in catalyzing this change
- Putting People First: Rethinking the Employee Experience – Dr. Asad Mian (Director, Critical Creative Innovative Thinking Forum; Chair, Dept. of Emergency Medicine, AKUH) and Dr. Mahreen Sulaiman (Director, Critical Creative Innovative Thinking Forum) will conduct a hackathon-style workshop, taking attendees through Stanford’s human-centered design approach to rethink and reimagine their employee experience
- People Analytics: Building a Foundation for Success – Farrukh Rasheed (Chief People Officer, Lucky Core Industries Ltd.) will share a practical roadmap and various case studies for HR teams to become more analytics-driven
- Inside the Boardroom: Preparing for the Digital Age – HR is not the sole caretaker of People and Digital Transformation in organizations. This panel discussion will simulate a boardroom with a CEO, CHRO, CFO and CTO, to discuss how they need to prepare for the digital age
- AI-Enabled HR – Kamran Meer (Trainer, PSTD; ex-Silicon Valley Data Sciences and Cybersecurity Consultant, ex-banking Chief Information Security Officer, HBL, UBL, Bank Alfalah) will do an interactive session to go over the what’s what of AI, and how it can HR and People in their work
Beyond these highlights, this year’s agenda will cover vital HR topics such as culture, leadership, employee value proposition, talent retention, new workforce models and changing expectations.
