Pakistan’s first rescue air ambulance successfully completed its maiden mission, transferring a patient named Halima Bibi from Mianwali to Rawalpindi for urgent medical treatment. Halima Bibi, a 40-year-old woman, had suffered paralysis after falling from a roof. The airlift occurred within the crucial “golden hour,” a period in which prompt medical attention is most likely to save lives.
This significant initiative was led by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and represents a landmark achievement in Pakistan’s healthcare system. Halima Bibi’s family expressed their deep gratitude to CM Maryam Nawaz for her swift and decisive action in arranging the airlift.
During the announcement of the air ambulance service’s successful operation, CM Maryam Nawaz highlighted the critical importance of providing timely and high-quality healthcare to all citizens. She stated, “Timely and quality healthcare is the right of every citizen of Punjab, and it will be ensured.” The Chief Minister also took to social media to share the news about the launch of Pakistan’s first air ambulance service, underscoring the government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare access and emergency response capabilities throughout the region.
