In an earlier quarter-final match, Pakistan faced a tough challenge from Qatar, a team ranked 17th in the world, whereas Pakistan holds the 51st position. Initially, Pakistan dominated the game, but Qatar made a strong comeback and won the first set. However, Pakistan managed to regain control and secured the victory in the third set. Despite their efforts, Qatar won the fourth set, resulting in scores of 24-26, 19-25, 25-23, and 18-25.
This achievement marked a significant moment for Pakistan in Asian Games volleyball, as it was their return to the top five since 1990.
