In a move to build excitement ahead of the Champions Trophy, Mohsin Naqvi has extended a warm invitation to Indian cricket fans and others worldwide, encouraging them to witness the thrilling tournament in Pakistan. Naqvi revealed plans for exclusive arrangements to welcome international fans, especially supporters of the Indian cricket team, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.

Speaking at a gathering with Sikh pilgrims in the United States, Naqvi expressed Pakistan’s hospitality and commitment to creating an accessible path for fans traveling to the event. He assured Sikh visitors that visas would be processed within a remarkable 30-minute timeframe for those wishing to attend, and announced that the application process for Indian fans and others has been simplified and moved online. This development allows American, Canadian, and UK passport holders to apply for Pakistani visas online without any associated fees.

“You’re more than welcome to come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy,” Naqvi remarked, emphasizing the country’s eagerness to host international cricket fans. Furthermore, he disclosed that a special ticket quota will be reserved specifically for the highly anticipated India-Pakistan match, a fixture that has historically drawn immense interest from fans around the world.

Naqvi also highlighted the extensive preparations underway to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for everyone attending the Champions Trophy. He assured fans that the PCB and Pakistani authorities are dedicated to organizing a world-class event, offering them an unforgettable experience of both cricket and Pakistani hospitality.

However, the tournament’s excitement comes amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding India’s participation. Due to complex political dynamics, discussions about India’s involvement continue, as Indian officials weigh the option of competing at a neutral venue rather than in Pakistan. Naqvi’s invitation is seen as part of an effort to encourage India’s participation and win over the public, hoping to inspire India’s cricket authorities to confirm attendance in Pakistan.

With the Champions Trophy fast approaching, Naqvi’s announcement reaffirms Pakistan’s commitment to welcoming cricket fans from around the globe and delivering a secure, well-organized tournament. The PCB’s readiness to make special visa accommodations and reserve tickets for international fans underscores Pakistan’s ambition to showcase itself as a premier cricketing destination.
