Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be attending the inauguration ceremony of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on June 3, according to the Foreign Office. This visit is seen as a reaffirmation of the strong relationship between Pakistan and Turke following President Erdogan’s recent re-election.
The prime minister will convey warm congratulations to President Erdogan on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan and will invite him to the 7th Meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Islamabad.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar is also scheduled to visit Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Belgium from June 5 to 13. These visits aim to strengthen political engagement, promote cooperation in development, trade, and climate change, and build relationships with lawmakers and local entrepreneurs.
In Sweden, she will attend the Annual Meeting of the European Council on Foreign Relations as a keynote speaker.Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is currently in Jordan to attend the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein and will subsequently visit Iraq from June 5 to 7.
During his visit to Iraq, he will hold meetings with Iraqi leaders to discuss bilateral cooperation and important issues. He will also announce the establishment of a Pilgrimage Centre in Karbala to assist Pakistani pilgrims and participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of the Embassy Complex.
The visit is expected to involve the signing of agreements related to the education sector, cultural cooperation, and visa facilitation.
