The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in Karachi starting after July 20, following a spell of hot weather with occasional showers.
Recently, Karachi saw significant rain in areas like Saddar, II Chundrigar Road, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal, which led to flooding and disrupted traffic. Despite today’s forecast for hot and humid conditions with a chance of rain in some areas, temperatures are expected to range from 35°C to 37°C with high humidity levels.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz explained that the low air pressure causing the recent rains has moved towards Oman. However, local cloud formation due to the heat may still bring intermittent rain. The city has been experiencing a mix of weather conditions, with residents bracing for more heavy downpours expected later this month.
