Qatar Airways was named the winner of the prestigious World’s Best Business Class award at the 2023 World Airline Awards, held during the Paris Air Show at the Musée de l’Air et de l’Espace on June 20. This marks the tenth time that global customers have ranked Qatar Airways as the best in the world for Business Class.
The awards were presented to His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, the Group Chief Executive of Qatar Airways, and Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, the Chief Operating Officer of Hamad International Airport.
Qatar Airways also received recognition for its Al Mourjan Lounge at Hamad International Airport, further establishing its dominance in the category of the World’s Best Business Class Lounge. The Al Mourjan Lounge was honored with the prestigious award for the World’s Best Business Class Lounge Dining. Additionally, Qatar Airways was named the Best Airline in the Middle East for the eleventh time.
Mr. Akbar Al Baker expressed his delight at winning the World’s Best Business Class award, attributing it to the collective efforts of the airline in providing an exceptional customer experience. The airline’s recognition in multiple categories, including Best Airline in the Middle East, World’s Best Business Class Lounge, and World’s Best Business Class Lounge Dining, showcases Qatar Airways’ leadership, innovation, and commitment in the industry.
Edward Plaisted, the CEO of Skytrax, remarked that Qatar Airways is highly regarded by customers, and their Business Class offering, both on flights and in airports, stands out among competitors. Qatar Airways secured a close second place in the overall global rating, solidifying its position as the Best Airline in the Middle East for the eleventh time in 2023.
In simple terms, Qatar Airways has once again been recognized as the world’s best airline for Business Class at the World Airline Awards. They also received accolades for their Business Class Lounge and Dining, as well as being named the top airline in the Middle East.
