The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet in Peshawar on February 28 to check for the Ramadan moon. If the moon is seen, Ramadan will begin on March 1.
The meeting will be led by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad and will take place after the Asr prayer. At the same time, zonal committees across the country will also observe the moon and share their reports.

However, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the moon may not be visible on February 28. If this happens, Ramadan is likely to begin on March 2 instead. According to PMD experts, the new moon is expected to form on February 28 at 5:45 pm, but it might not be visible to the naked eye.
The official decision will depend on the sighting reports from different regions. If the moon is seen, fasting will start on March 1, but if not, it will begin on March 2.
Muslims across Pakistan are waiting for the final announcement, as Ramadan is a time of fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection. The confirmation from the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will mark the beginning of this sacred month.
