To address concerns about noise pollution during the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, a judge has issued an order to take strong action against the use of vuvuzelas (toy horns) by vendors and individuals. The directive aims to reduce the common practice of using these noisy horns during the festive occasion.
As Independence Day approaches, it’s common to see vuvuzelas being sold alongside other items at stalls across the country.
In response to this issue, the judge has instructed the police to enforce strict measures against the sale and use of vuvuzelas under a specific section of the Criminal Procedure Code. Police officers have been directed to take action against those selling and using these noisy toys, using legal provisions from the Pakistan Penal Code.
Every year, as August 14th nears and people celebrate Independence Day, it’s a common sight to see vehicles decorated with green colors and Pakistan’s flags. People also decorate their homes, markets, and streets with flags and lights to show their love for the country during this special occasion.
This year’s Independence Day celebration will mark the 76th anniversary since Pakistan gained its independence.
