Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has announced updated fees for various visa-related services available on its Absher Business platform. These changes are part of ongoing efforts to streamline services for establishments while ensuring clarity in administrative costs.
As per the updated fee structure, the cost of extending an exit and reentry visa is now set at SAR 103.5. Additionally, renewing a residency permit, commonly known as an Iqama, will cost SAR 51.75. Establishments looking to issue a final exit visa for employees will need to pay SAR 70.
The fee for initially issuing an Iqama remains the same as renewing it, SAR 51.75. If businesses need to request employee reports, the cost is SAR 28.75. Updating expatriate workers’ passport information through the platform will incur a fee of SAR 69.
Absher Business clarified through its official communication channel, X (formerly Twitter), that these fees apply only to value-added services offered on their platform. These charges are separate from the annual subscription fees paid by employers for regular services.
In addition to these updates, the Absher Individuals platform has launched a new feature allowing users to report absconding cases for individuals holding visitor visas. This service comes with specific conditions to ensure proper usage:
- The person being reported must hold a personal or family visit visa.
- Reports can only be submitted between 7 and 14 days after the visa’s expiration date.
- The visitor’s visa must already be expired at the time of reporting.
- Only one report can be filed for each visitor.
- Once a report is submitted, it cannot be canceled.
These changes aim to improve administrative processes, enhance accessibility, and provide more convenient solutions for individuals and businesses managing visa-related tasks. The Absher platform continues to expand its offerings, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of its users.
