Saudi Arabia has announced that children will not be allowed to accompany pilgrims during Hajj 2025. This decision has been made to ensure the safety of all pilgrims, as the annual pilgrimage attracts millions of people, leading to extremely crowded conditions.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has also stated that first-time pilgrims will be given priority for Hajj this year. This means that those who have never performed Hajj before will have a better chance of securing a spot.
Registration for Hajj 2025 is now open for Saudi citizens and residents. Those who wish to apply can do so through the Nusuk app or the official online portal. During the registration process, pilgrims must verify their details, add any companions they will be traveling with, and apply for any necessary exemptions.
For domestic pilgrims, the payment process has been made more flexible. They can pay for their Hajj packages in three separate installments. The first two payments must be completed by the 20th of Ramadan and the 20th of Shawwal. However, if a booking remains unconfirmed, pilgrims will be required to make full payment at once.
These measures are part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to manage the pilgrimage efficiently and ensure a smooth and safe experience for all attendees.
