Saudi Arabia has decided to let Pakistani people stay for 90 days when they visit for Umrah. The Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, and Pakistan’s Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs, Aneeq Ahmed, talked about this together.
They want more Pakistani tourists to visit religious places in Saudi Arabia. They’ll open new places in Makkah and Madinah for them. Dr. Tawfiq said Saudi Arabia will help Pakistani travelers and make their journey better.
They’re also planning to make it cheaper for people who want to do Hajj by opening more historical and religious sites in the holy cities. They agreed to have more flights between the two countries.
Pakistani people above 65 years old who want to do Hajj or Umrah won’t need to give their fingerprints anymore. They’re also looking for new places in Makkah and Madinah for Pakistani people to stay because the holy mosques are getting bigger.
Dr. Tawfiq met with President Arif Alvi and Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar. President Alvi said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia should be better friends, especially in things like technology, renewable energy, and building things.
He thanked Saudi Arabia for making Hajj good this year and for helping important Muslim issues. He also liked how Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman is helping things get better with Iran.
