Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (SBBU) is seeking to hire eligible candidates from Sindh for various positions on a contract basis. The university aims to fill these vacancies on open merit and offers opportunities for both teaching and non-teaching roles. Teaching Positions
1. Associate Professor (BPS-20) – Sindhi
- Qualifications and Experience:
- PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
- 10 years of teaching/research experience in a recognized university or postgraduate institution, or professional experience in a reputable national or international organization.
- Alternatively, 5 years of post-PhD teaching/research experience.
- At least 10 research publications in recognized journals, with a minimum of 4 publications in the last 5 years.
2. Assistant Professor (BPS-19) – Media & Communication Studies
- Qualifications:
- PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Experience is not mandatory.
3. Assistant Professor (BPS-19) – Fine Arts
- Qualifications:
- PhD in the relevant field or a Master’s degree (MS/MPhil) from an HEC-recognized institution.
- No experience required with a PhD; 4 years of teaching/research experience with an MS/MPhil degree.
4. Lecturer (BPS-18) – Various Subjects
- Subjects Include:
- English, Business Studies, Genetics, Statistics, Economics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Sindhi, Education, Microbiology, Pakistan Studies, Media & Communication Studies.
- Qualifications:
- First-class MS/MPhil or equivalent degree in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
- No third division in the academic career.
- For Media & Communication Studies, preference for candidates familiar with script writing and audio/video techniques.
Non-Teaching Positions
1. Director Procurement (BPS-20)
- Qualifications:
- MBA, BE, or Master’s in supply chain management.
- Preference for candidates with SPPRA or PPRA certifications.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, including at least one year in BPS-19.
- Skills in procurement laws, regulations, and software.
2. Secrecy Officer (BPS-17)
- Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree with at least a second class.
- Minimum 4 years of administrative experience, preferably in university examinations.
3. Horticulturist/Plantation Officer (BPS-17)
- Qualifications:
- MS (Horticulture) or B.Sc. (Hons) in Horticulture with a first-class or CGPA 3.0.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, knowledge of plantation, and nursery establishment.
4. Computer Programmer/Developer (BPS-17)
- Qualifications:
- MS/BS in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering with first-class or minimum 3.0 CGPA.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in software development.
- Proficient in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other frameworks.
5. Protocol Officer (BPS-17)
- Qualifications:
- Graduate or B.Com with at least a second division.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a reputed university or organization.
- Skills in task prioritization, guest management, and strong interpersonal skills.
6. Assistant Director QEC (BPS-17)
- Qualifications:
- MBA/MS with first-class or 3.0 CGPA from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Minimum 4 years of teaching or QEC experience.
- Knowledge of university and QEC systems.
