The future of hairstyling in Pakistan has a decidedly bright and empowered look. The L’Oréal Professionnel Institute of Pakistan (LPIP) recently celebrated a milestone with the graduation of its first and second batches at a ceremony held at the Marriott Hotel in Karachi.

More than just a graduation, the event was a celebration of women’s empowerment and financial independence. The esteemed Consul General of France for Karachi, Monsieur Alexis Chahtahtinsky, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor.

Building on the success of its inaugural batch, the LPIP is on a mission to transform lives. Partnering with CIRCLE, a women-led non-profit, the institute identifies talented yet underprivileged women with a passion for hairstyling. The LPIP equips them with the tools they need to not only thrive but also achieve financial independence.

The ceremony highlighted the critical role such initiatives play in Pakistan’s socio-economic landscape. The graduating class of 24 talented hairstylists, with half receiving full scholarships from L’Oréal Pakistan and CIRCLE, is a testament to the program’s effectiveness.

The event featured a captivating panel discussion moderated by Corporate Affairs & Engagement Director, Adeela Liaquat. Industry leaders like CIRCLE’s founder Sadaffe Abid, esteemed Salon Partners Hifsa Khan, Nina Lotia, and Sidra Gill, discussed L’Oréal Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to empowering women and providing them with a platform to become leaders in the hairstyling industry.

Renowned stylist Nabila Maqsood and L’Oréal Pakistan’s Country Managing Director, Qawi Naseer, delivered inspiring keynotes. Mr. Naseer emphasized the institute’s role in fostering women’s financial independence. “Through the L’Oréal Professionnel Institute of Pakistan, we aim to create a sustainable future that values diversity and promotes equality,” he stated.

The Guest of Honor, Monsieur Alexis Chahtahtinsky, commended the initiative for its substantial impact on women’s economic empowerment. He highlighted the program’s contribution to not only empowering women but also strengthening Pakistan’s economy.

The ceremony culminated with the distribution of diplomas to the graduating hairstylists, a testament to their dedication and the success of the LPIP program.

The LPIP offers a comprehensive six-month program that equips graduates with not just hairstyling expertise but also business acumen and practical experience through internships. Graduates are also given job placement opportunities within the Salon Expert network, ensuring a smooth transition into successful careers. The LPIP is truly shaping the future of hairstyling in Pakistan, one empowered graduate at a time.
