Pakistani mountaineer Shehroze Kashif has achieved something incredible. He reached the very top of Mount Manaslu, which is the eighth tallest mountain globally, standing at 8,163 meters.
What makes this even more impressive is that Shehroze is only 21 years old and comes from Lahore. He conquered the highest point of Mount Manaslu at 5:01 am PKT on a Wednesday morning, and his father, Kashif Salman, confirmed this achievement.
This remarkable feat also makes Shehroze the youngest Pakistani to ever reach the “true summit” of Mount Manaslu.
This isn’t his first time climbing Mount Manaslu, which is situated in the Nepalese Himalayas. In September 2021, he climbed it, but at that time, he reached what was believed to be the summit. Later, they realized that the actual summit, called the “true summit,” was a little higher than the point they had thought was the top.
Even though he received recognition from Nepalese mountaineering authorities for his first climb, Shehroze was determined to go back and reach the true summit, which he successfully did in his recent expedition.
