Dubai’s music scene is about to get a real treat as famous Pakistani singer Atif Aslam joins forces with the enchanting Firdaus Orchestra at Coca Cola Arena. In a special chat, Atif shares his excitement and plans for the upcoming concert.
“I’m really excited to be part of this event again because we’ll be performing some new songs like Rabba Sacheya and Channa, which we haven’t done before,” Atif says eagerly. “We’re mixing our songs with some of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s classics. It’s a real treat for me to work on them with the orchestra. I hope the audience enjoys it too.”
Atif’s collaboration with the Firdaus Orchestra promises a unique experience. “I’ve never heard an orchestra like this before, and it’s inspired me to create something different,” Atif reflects. “Most symphony shows focus on melody or drama, but I want to add a rock vibe and blend it with Eastern instruments. It’s a new flavor for the audience.”
When it comes to choosing songs for the concert, Atif draws from his diverse musical background. “It depends on the vibe,” he explains. “Before Bollywood, I was already into rock and pop. So, I mix some old folk tunes with my songs.”
Despite the excitement, Atif stays true to himself before hitting the stage. “I just focus on being authentic,” he says. “We pray and wish each other luck before going on stage. Good musicians bring positive energy, and that’s what matters most.”
