The Supreme Court of Pakistan has once again confirmed its decision to remove Monal and other restaurants from the Margalla Hills National Park, rejecting appeals that sought to challenge the earlier ruling. To carry out this decision, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Islamabad Capital Territory Police have been given the responsibility to ensure that the restaurants are removed and demolished. Additionally, the Wildlife Board will be in charge of overseeing the restoration of the site once the restaurants have been removed. They will also work on repurposing the area to ensure it aligns with the park’s environmental needs and regulations.
