There are reports suggesting that Tesla officials will meet with India’s commerce minister to discuss setting up a factory in the country. The aim is to produce an affordable electric car, priced at about $24,000 (PKR 6,885,355), which would be comparable in cost to a Toyota Corolla in Pakistan.
This represents a significant change for Tesla and shows their interest in investing in the Indian market. The proposed car is expected to be around 25% cheaper than Tesla’s current lowest-priced model, the Model 3 sedan.
