After being caught on CCTV stealing money and a mobile phone from a blind muezzin in Karachi, the thief has returned the phone to the owner through a delivery rider.
The incident occurred when the thief tricked the victim, identified as Hafiz Amjad, into recording his naat under the pretext of making it viral on social media, and then stole his phone and transferred Rs35,000 from it through an app.
The CCTV footage of the incident led to the thief returning the phone through a bike rider, who was asked to deliver it to Qari Amjad in Gulistan-e-Johar by a man named Hassan Liaquat. The case has been registered at the Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station.
