Ushaz is a UK based company, aiming to bring Pakistani Art & Handicrafts better recognition all around the globe. We take immense pride in showcasing the hard work of artisans from Pakistan and pay tribute to them for carrying this beautiful work over generations. It is imperative to exhibit their talent in front of the world!
Each stroke of the design is hard-carved. But as beautiful as this art is, it is practised only in a small village in Pakistan. Decorating and carving techniques have been passed down through generations. However, fewer and fewer people are taking this on as a full-time profession because of modernisation and the growing focus on mass production.
Team Ushaz is working hard to get this art the exposure it requires. With better recognition and support, people will be willing to learn this skill and make this a full-time profession. We want to provide better resources and training to the artists and set up new workshops where people can learn these skills. You can be a part of our creative journey.
