WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging platform, is rolling out new features designed to enhance user experience by addressing animation preferences, introducing real-time human support, and offering AI-powered tools for businesses.

One of the most anticipated updates will allow users to manage chat message animations, including emojis, stickers, and GIFs. This feature, as reported by WABetaInfo, provides an option to turn off autoplay for animations. Users can keep animated emojis static and prevent animated stickers and GIFs from moving unless specifically interacted with.

This development is expected to be a relief for those who find constant motion in their chats distracting. The feature is currently under development and will be rolled out in a future update.

Real-Time Human Support on Web Client

Another noteworthy addition is a feature enabling users to access human support directly via the WhatsApp web client. Moving away from automated systems, WhatsApp aims to provide real-time assistance through human representatives.

When users contact support, they will be asked to provide details about their issue. Responses and follow-ups will be managed within the same conversation thread, ensuring a seamless experience. This initiative reflects WhatsApp’s commitment to improving customer service and addressing user concerns more effectively.

AI-Powered Replies for Businesses

In a move to support businesses, WhatsApp is introducing AI-powered replies that can automatically respond to customer messages. Businesses can activate this feature by scanning a QR code, enabling the system to handle inquiries even when employees are unavailable.

This tool is expected to streamline customer interactions and ensure quick responses, enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency for businesses using WhatsApp as a communication platform.

Broader Implications

These features highlight WhatsApp’s focus on refining user control, enhancing customer support, and integrating AI-driven solutions for businesses. By addressing diverse user needs, from personal preferences to enterprise solutions, the platform continues to solidify its position as a leader in the messaging space.

While the animation control feature and real-time support are under development, their eventual release is likely to be welcomed by millions of users worldwide. Businesses, too, stand to benefit significantly from the introduction of AI-powered replies, further cementing WhatsApp’s role as a versatile tool for communication and customer engagement.
